Easy Ways to Regulate your Nervous System

Here are some tools I have learned along my health and healing journey of regulating my nervous system:

*EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping

*Breathwork: deep belly breaths, alternative nostril breathing, humming, hissing

*Shaking the body

*Body scanning & progressive muscle relaxation

*Being in nature: stopping to smell flowers, touch/hug trees, listen to birds chirping, barefoot grounding

*Listening to relaxing music or specific frequency tones

*Chanting/singing/humming

*Journaling

*Massage therapy

*Present moment awareness: noticing through your senses

*Mirror affirmations

*Regular screen breaks: I have an app blocker that limits my time on social media-which was where I was spending most of my phone time-and has specific time boundaries
